| ¢º Mill Housing |
| Mill housing is a large roll frame required for the smooth
operation of the rolling process. Mill housing consists
of two sides - drive side and work side in between of which
a plate moves back and forth to roll steel sheets. Depending
on the rolling method, it can be classified as ¡®Roughing
Mill Housing¡¯, ¡®Hot Mill Housing¡¯ and ¡®Cold Mill Housing¡¯.
There is also ¡®Plate Mill Housing¡¯ for steel plates and
¡®Universal Mill Housing¡¯ for section steel. |

| ¢º Roll |
The roll is an important part of the plate, as well as
hot and cold rolling mills, and Doosan manufactures both
the ¡®Back Up Roll¡¯ and ¡®Work Roll¡¯.
The back up roll delivers and supports the rolling pressure
to the work roll, while the work roll directly connects
to the rolling mill for a proper adjustment of the distance
between upper and lower work rolls.
According to the manufacturing method, the rolls are classified
as either casting or forging rolls. Doosan specializes in
forging rolls, and the back up roll is used in all the plate,
hot and cold rolling mills while the work roll is used only
in cold rolling. |
